Education is the most effetive weapon in the fight against FGM
Eduaction is essential to give more power to girls and women and to strengthen their self-determination.
Based on my experience, I know that many women who got the chance to attend school, raise their voice against FGM.
In 2017 we are starting our new education project "Desert Flower Gives You Power" in Tanzania and Sierra Leone.
In the course of this education project we distribute a first reading book, that I have created together with my brilliant team of teachers. With each book we give a set of coloured pencils, a sharpener and a schoolbag to the schools of Tanzania and Sierra Leone.
The goal of the project is to provide school materials for children throughout Africa, reduce illiteracy and hence fight successfully against FGM.
