Waris, help me!

Not long ago a young Maasai girl, barely older than 13 years old, told me her story and asked for help.

Today I want to share her story with you and ask you for your help for the countless young girls having to live a life in fear!

About a year ago she was circumcised.

"One night, I was destined to become a "woman". I was hoping that they would never get me, but I knew that this day would come.

I begged my mother not to do this to me but she didn't know any better and said that each of us would have to go through it.

I tried to imagine something beautiful as they pushed me to the ground. When the cuter started, I tried not to scream, but I could not help it, the pain was so agonizing that I fainted.

One year passed since then and a few days ago my mother told me that a man would come to take me as his wife. But Waris, they must not do that, when I get married, my life is over! I won't be able to go to school and finish my education.

They don't know how important it is to me! You have to help me!"

Her history reminded me of the fate of millions of women for who I fight everyday.
In the Maasai tribe about 37 of the 42 groups cut their wives. They are being married early to old men and have to leave school.

I knew I had to help the young girl! Therefore I am starting my education and sponsorship project this year in Tanzania and I need your help!

Every  donation  helps us to implement our projects locally!

Please support my project now and help those girls!
