In Africa live currently around 125 million women who have been married as children.
This number will more than double by 2015 due to demographic growth, if no action is taken.
“Child brides” are at high risk to become victims of violence, to be infected with HIV, to break up school and to become pregnant while still a child.
We demand from all African states to ban child marriage immediately!
