The Kenya Demographic Health Survey 2014, released by the Ministry of Health, revealed shocking details on FGM in Kenya:

Despite being outlawed since 2010, FGM remains not only rife among Somali, Samburu, Kisii and Maasai communities that have traditionally practiced it.

It is also on the rise in urban areas: According to the survey 78% of women in urban areas are circumcised by the age of 14.

The survey found out that medical practitioners are contributing to a total 20% of all FGM cases in the country, making big business with the suffering of the girls.
This means that the cruel ritual is not only carried out in secrecy in villages, but is supported and performed by medical professionals!

FGM is illegal and we demand for harsh sentences on those performing it!
