During the school holidays parents bring their daughters to the cutters. You have to control the families to put an end to this crime against the little girls. Worldwide 30 million girls are threatened by FGM. Parents use the school holidays in order to expose their daughters to this cruel torture.
In Europe and North America tens of thousands of girls are acutely at risk of becoming a victim of this practice during the school holidays. I call on the governments to finally implement the harsh measures and strict controls of families coming from the countries where FGM is prevalent. Without strict controls FGM will never be eradicated! We had enough discussions on FGM. Now it’s time to take action!
