Although the film was already shown at the Venice Film Festival in 2009 and featured in many other countries around the world, it took us 7 years to find a film distributor in Italy.
Now it's Great Britain's turn!
The English film distributors refuse to show "Desert Flower" because in their opinion the British population can't take the cruel scenes.
Ironically, with 180 000 women the UK has the highest amount of FGM victims in Europe!
The British health authority refuses to support surgeries of FGM victims!
This is why there is no Desert Flower Center in the UK!
