Edith is excited about going to school and gives her best every day! She is inquisitive, hardworking and full of energy!
As a little girl, she became part of the Desert Flower sponsorship project to save her from FGM and enable her to attend school.
Today she dreams of becoming president!
Through education, our little Desert Flowers grow up to become educated, confident and proud women who give every day everything to take their chances and make their dreams come true.
Thanks to the support of the Desert Flower Foundation, the girls and young women have the courage to speak out in public against FGM in their communities and are committed to fighting this inhuman crime.
They will protect their own daughters, they will educate their sons and encourage them to join this fight so that female genital mutilation will no longer be accepted in society and finally stops.
The commitment of little Edith, and all of our little Desert Flowers will affect many more generations and protect the lives of millions of young girls!
