For the preparation of my "Desert Flower Team Triathlon 2019", to which I may already invite you today, I was invited for a few days to stay in the hotel "Stanglwirt" in Tyrol.
There I met Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Commission, for having a private conversation.
Certainly, we talked about how to empower women in Africa and how Europe needs to work more effective against FGM.
Since the establishment of Desert Flower Foundation in 2002, political lobbying for the rights of girls and women in Africa has been one of the most important tasks of our organization.
I have promised Mr Juncker a detailed letter about my concerns, proposals and demands to the EU, because Europe needs a united approach to stop this crime against innocent little girls.
